How much do Americans use the Internet?

Americans' frequent use of the Internet has almost doubled over the last five years.Different groups of people use the internet differently.For example young people are more likely to use the Internet than old people.Also the more educated Americans are more likely to use the internet than people with less education.The other aspect influencial in using the internet is marital status, that is single people spend more time using the internet than married people.(stanford institute for the quantitative study of society, Norman H.Nie, director). Fifty-five per cent of adults in Britain have accessed the Internet at
some time according to figures from the April 2002 National Statistics
Omnibus Survey.
